Auckland Roots,
Proven Expertise & Trusted Since 1996.

At Hart Auto Electrical, our roots run deep in the Papakura community. What began in 1996 as a small workshop by local Bruce Hart has grown into one of South Auckland’s most trusted and well-rounded auto service centres.

Today, Hart is led by long-time team member Dom Thamoontree and his wife, Kylie, who took over from Bruce to carry forward the values that made Hart what it is: honest advice, top-tier technical work, and genuine service you can count on.

‘A Local Legacy, Carried Forward’

We’re a family-run business that values community, connection, and quality service. With familiar faces at the front desk and on the workshop floor, our team takes pride in doing things properly—with honesty, skill, and a down-to-earth attitude.

Bruce Hart

Bruce Hart opened the workshop doors in 1996 with a mission to provide reliable auto electrical services in the heart of Papakura.

Over the decades, Hart has grown steadily, expanding into full mechanical repairs, Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections and battery services.

In 2023, we celebrated one of our proudest milestones when our apprentice Ben Higgins won MTA’s Most Outstanding Apprentice (Northern Region). It’s just one example of our commitment to doing things right and investing in the next generation of skilled professionals.
